Cornish Vineyard takes top awards
A Cornish vineyard wins a top award.
Cornwall's Camel Valley Vineyard continued its long run of international competition success, winning 'Best In Class' in the World Championships.
The award was presented at a packed Vintner's Hall on 2 September in front of the glitterati of the wine world.
Bob Lindo said: "We already knew we had won the Gold and were short-listed for the 'Best English Sparkling Rose', before we left home, so to win was amazing.'"
It was a record 4th Gold Medal for the 2012 Camel Valley Pinot Noir rosé brut.
Already a Gold medal winner in the International Wine Challenge, the United Kingdom Vineyard's awards and the South West Awards, and now a trophy or class winner in all four competitions.
Wine maker, Sam Lindo, obviously delighted, added: "It is fantastic for the whole team to win the award, we had only just got over winning the Gold".
Camel Valley is family owned and run in the heart of Cornwall.
Second generation wine maker Sam has won 'UK Wine maker of the Year' 3 times and in 2014 was shortlisted for 'International Sparkling Winemaker of the Year.'
Sam currently chairs the United Kingdom Vineyard's Association, keeping up another family tradition.
