2014 INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE TROPHY AND DOUBLE GOLD

 

‘Of all the English vineyards, Camel Valley had the most successful year’ *

 

Camel Valley won an unprecedented 2 Gold medals, a Silver and 2 bronze medals in the 2014 International Wine Challenge (IWC). The results were announced at the English Wine Producer’s annual trade and press tasting in London on 7 May 2014 by Oz Clarke and Charles Metcalfe.   The Gold medals were for the 2012 Camel Valley Pinot Noir Rosé brut, which also won the sparkling rosé trophy and the 2009 Chardonnay brut. 

 

Camel Valley has now won a total of 6 IWC Gold medals and 4 IWC trophies, including the International Trophy for the best rosé sparkling in the world, a feat replicated in Bollecini Del Mundo, world sparkling wine championships in Italy.  Sam Lindo has won UK Winemaker of the Year 3 times.
