- excellent location, facilities, delightful holiday
-
The cottage is in an excellent location for north and south Cornwall and particularly the Camel Trail, easy to access (given Cornwall's narrow roads!), and in a beautiful position overlooking the Camel Valley, right in the heart of the vineyard. The facilities in the cottage are excellent, such a welcome place to return to after a long day walking the Coast Path. The Wine Tour is a must and we enjoyed the still dry wines very much. We had such a good holiday here!
Value Price Quality - Excellent self-catering accommodation in the vineyard
-
We recently stayed at Lions Barn, one of two self-catering cottages in the middle of the Camel Valley vineyard and run by the same people as the vineyard.
The cottage has central heating (we were there in January but the cottage was very warm), wood burner with free supply of logs, all normal kitchen 'mod cons' including dishwasher, large modern bathroom, and sleeping accomodation for 4 (1 double room, 1 twin). Also has a balcony and patio, both overlooking the vineyard in the direction of the sunset. Owners very friendly. Few hundred yards walk from the Camel Valley footpath / cycle trail. Would highly recommend, we're already booked in for 3rd visit later this year.Value Price Quality - This has become our holiday classic

We have been visiting this successful vineyard for nearly 10 years and have stayed in the cottage Lions Barn 7 times. This vineyard has achieved success through passion, hard work and total commitment not through free hand outs and corporate dinners. Their wines, specially Cornwall Brut and Bacchus can out do both French Champagne and Sancerre any day. They deserve all their awards and future years will bring more successes.
Value Price Quality - Absolutely love this place

We have visited and stayed here many times. The hosts Bob and Annie are incredibly welcoming and very thoughtful. Wine is superb, views and location is superb and cottages are just perfect. We'll be back next year :)
Price Quality Value - Fantastic as always

We have stayed in the cottages on the vineyard for 10 years now and always enjoy being there. The Grand Tour and Tasting (free to cottage renters) is a wonderful experience and was well handled by the young staff in the absence of the owners off to London for more accolades.
