Described by Victoria Moore as ‘a triumph, it’s completely delicious – like a wild cherry blossom nose-kiss’.  Jane Macquitty, the Times critic writes: ‘Camel Valley’s strawberry scented Pinot noir rose Brut is ‘the best …’.

Praised by Matthew Jukes, English Wine Compendium Mail Weekend magazine "This is a phenomenal wine which is not only one of the finest rosés in the UK but also the world!"

Recommended by Saturday Kitchen’s Olly Smith and a strong pedigree:  The 2010 vintage won a Decanter World Wine Award Gold medal, the UKVA Trophy for the best Sparkling Rose in England and was awarded first place in the MWs tasting of 90 English Sparkling wines in 2012. Judges included Jancis Robinson, Stephen Spurrier, Stephen Skelton, Susie Barry, Waitrose and M&S: 'Strawberry and raspberry nose, lovely acid backbone well balanced with the dosage'.

The 2008 and 2009 vintages were both outright winners of the Sparkling Rosé International trophy in Verona (Bollicini Del Mondo). Camel Valley 2009 Pinot Noir Rosé was crowned Sparkling Rosé World Champion ahead of Bollinger Champagne rosé and also won the International Wine Challenge Trophy.  Awarded 95/100 points from Chair of Judges Tom Stevenson, editor of Christie's World Encyclopedia of Champagne and sparkling wine.  Wrote Tom: ‘Sublime’ and ‘beautifully pale, delicate salmon-peach colour; lovely, delicately rich fruit’.

Worth spending hard earned money for this rather unusually delicious dry wine.
I will be buying directly from the vineyards in September if there is any left!

Good wine and great value compared with Rose champagne
Unfortunately we purchased a couple of bottles of this from the Padstow farm shop whilst visiting Cornwall. Unfortunate because we did not open one until we got home and found that it is really good and should have purchase more. Not being a Rose drinker myself other than some champagne that I like I was really surprised that this was so nice and I do compare it to the like of an LP Rose for half the price.

Would recommend this to anyone, but save some for me.

Better than expected
Did the tour 4 months ago and bought a bottle home. Opened it for New Year's Eve and it certainly exceeded expectations. Slightly drier that a lot of Rose's but all the better for that. It was so good I am just about to order another 6 bottles

Superb!
We opened a bottle on Saturday - wow! This wine is gorgeous, full of flavour with a long finish. Not too many bubbles, so it's soft on the palate. It really is the best sparkling wine we've ever had. No more French champagne for us, this Camel Valley wine is a triumph.

Worth driving to Cornwall for!
We bought 3 bottles having visited the winery one lunchtime. Only been home for a couple of weeks and they are all gone. We should have bought a dozen. This is a delicious wine and certainly more than a match for its posh French competitors. Review by Roger Lightfoot / (Posted on 01/08/2015)
